Join Indigenous Knowledge Keepers and community members as they share their food stories and traditions. Through these short videos, students learn about gardening, hunting, and food preparation while reflecting on the relationships between people, food, and the land.
🌱 Ruby’s Food Story: Ruby Bruce, a Métis gardener, shares how she and her family grow and use plants for food and ceremony.
🔥 Randy’s Food Story: Elder Randy Bottle from Kainai First Nation teaches about sharing circles and how stories are passed down through generations.
🌊 Mary and Hayze’s Food Story: Mary Schaefer, a Cree Knowledge Keeper, and her grandson Hayze explore muskrat trapping, sap collection, and relationships with the land.

These videos are part of Sharing Food Stories, a classroom program that explores food, culture, and connection through storytelling. They can also be used on their own to spark meaningful discussion and reflection.
