Mindful Eating: Grades 7–9
Lesson 2 of A Guided Discovery of Canada’s Food Guide helps grades 7 to 9 students explore the role of mindfulness and mindful eating within their daily lives and school environment. Students reflect on their own eating habits, compare their ideal and actual eating environments, and consider how mindfulness might enhance their eating experiences. They’ll also explore and define what mindful eating means to them and brainstorm ways their school could support more mindful meals and snacks.
Linked to the Alberta and Saskatchewan curriculums and built for ease-of-use, this resource is fully plug-and-play. At the end, students receive a downloadable PDF to support reflection or evaluation.
